School of Business – Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) had organized the
Annual Intra-collegiate Student Idea and Feasibility Competition called
IDEATHON 2024. The Preliminary rounds was held on 6.11.2024 (2 pm to 5pm). The
detailed guidelines for preparation was sent to students to form groups, chose
problem with a related industry and bring a feasible solution to it. There were
about 41 teams had registered with a minimum of 4 members and a maximum of 5
members. All these teams were given a detailed conceptual input was given by
the Team EDC namely; a. Design Thinking; b. Problem Statement Canvas; STP and
4P Concepts of Marketing and other related inputs for better preparation both
as electronic documents as well the Video Content too! The Preliminary Round
was held on 6.11.2024. The faculty members of GSB acted as the jury and 5 teams
presented to each of them. Out of 41 teams presented, 24 teams elicited to the
finale. The finale was scheduled on 18.11.2024 and 22.11. 2024. The Venue is
GSB LH – II. 24 teams presented in two slots by dividing them into 12+12. Mr. Praveen Raj, Founder and ChiefTechnical Officer (CTO), TechVoyager Private Limited acted as the chief jury ofthe event. He is a technopreneur and a mentor to many young aspirants of entrepreneurship from Thanjavur with a 6+ years of experience in hand. Hisventure is successfully identified in the delta region. With an intensive drilling of Question and Answer Session and Presentation by the 24 teams intensively about their business plan, lean business canvas model, the team shave achieved a great sense of purpose. After a thorough scrutiny, the jury selected the first and second prize winners and two teams for the consolation award. The winner, runner-up and consolation award winners were awarded with certificates, merit certificates and cash award too! The Team EDC Student Office bearers along with the Faculty Co-ordinator GSB – EDC strived their best create a platform and offer a fruitful experience to students. The programme met its set objectives.
