{"id":16217,"date":"2025-01-16T08:06:49","date_gmt":"2025-01-16T02:36:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsb.ac.in\/home\/?page_id=16217"},"modified":"2025-08-13T12:47:28","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T07:17:28","slug":"sgrc","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gsb.ac.in\/home2\/sgrc\/","title":{"rendered":"STUDENT GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-gb16217-6a3b859cb282f\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-gb16217-6a3b859cb282f-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-gb16217-6a3b859cb282f-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-gb16217-6a3b859cb282f-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">STUDENT GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE<\/h3>\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p>In line with the <strong>UGC Guidelines<\/strong> (Gazette Notification: CG-DL-E-11042023-245095 dated 11 April 2023), the <strong>Gnanam School of Business, Thanjavur<\/strong>, has constituted a <strong>Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)<\/strong> to address and resolve student concerns promptly and fairly.<\/p>\n<p>The SGRC also serves as the <strong>Anti-Ragging Committee<\/strong> of the institution, reinforcing our commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide a <strong>safe and supportive platform<\/strong> for students to express grievances freely, with the assurance of confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure <strong>prompt and effective resolution<\/strong> of student grievances within stipulated timelines.<\/li>\n<li>Offer <strong>counselling and guidance<\/strong> to students during the grievance process.<\/li>\n<li>Promote <strong>mutual respect, harmony, and positive relationships<\/strong> within the student community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review and address grievances with <strong>fairness, transparency, and impartiality<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Follow <strong>principles of natural justice<\/strong> in all proceedings.<\/li>\n<li>Submit reports and recommendations to the <strong>affiliating university<\/strong> when required.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct <strong>regular feedback surveys<\/strong> to identify and address recurring student issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grievance Redressal Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(As per the <strong>UGC Redressal of Grievances of Students, 2023<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1 \u2013 Submit Grievance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students can file grievances:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Through the <strong>online complaint form<\/strong> on the college website<\/li>\n<li>By email<\/li>\n<li>By dropping a written complaint in the designated grievance box<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 2 \u2013 Referral to SGRC:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Complaints are forwarded to the SGRC within <strong>15 days<\/strong> of receipt, along with institutional comments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3 \u2013 Hearing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SGRC will fix a date to hear the complaint and notify both the student and the institution.<\/p>\n<p>The aggrieved student may present their case personally or through an authorized representative.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4 \u2013 Escalation (if unresolved):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If not resolved by the SGRC within the prescribed time, the grievance will be referred to the <strong>Ombudsperson<\/strong> for further action.
