Internal Complaints Committee

The Gnanam School of Business is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students and staff. Upholding a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment, the institution ensures that any individual facing discomfort or harassment can seek immediate support and redressal through the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).

The ICC operates in compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013 and UGC Regulations (2015), ensuring confidentiality, fairness, and protection for all parties involved.

 

Objectives

• Establish a permanent, effective mechanism to prevent and address sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
• Ensure prompt reporting, fair investigation, and proper follow-up of complaints.
• Maintain a harassment-free campus that fosters respect, dignity, and equality.
• Raise awareness through workshops, counselling, and sensitization programmes.

 

Functions

• Receive and address complaints of sexual harassment from students and staff.
• Conduct fair and impartial inquiries in accordance with the law.
• Submit findings and recommendations to the Director for appropriate action.
• Conduct awareness sessions, training, and counselling to create a safe and informed campus culture.

 

Complaint Filing Process

Step 1: The aggrieved person (student or employee) may approach the ICC directly.

Step 2: Submit a written complaint in person, by email, or via the online complaint form.

Step 3: ICC initiates an inquiry as per the Act/service rules within 30 days.

Step 4: Inquiry report is submitted to the Director within 10 days after completion.

Step 5: The management implements ICC recommendations within 10 days.

Step 6: All proceedings remain strictly confidential.
