Gnanam School of Business organized an insightful Power Talk on “Opportunities in the Logistics Sector” on November 18, 2025, at the GSB Auditorium. The session featured Mr. Arun Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Logwiz Institute of Shipping & Logistics Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, who shared his deep industry knowledge with the students.

Mr. Arun Kumar highlighted the growing global demand for skilled professionals in logistics, international shipping, supply chain planning, and trade compliance. He explained how the logistics industry plays a crucial role in international business and how India is becoming a strategic hub for global trade and cargo movement.

During the session, he discussed multiple career pathways across shipping lines, freight forwarding firms, port operations, warehousing companies, and international logistics service providers. He emphasized the importance of developing strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and hands-on exposure to global trade documentation.

A major highlight of his talk was the set of interview tips he shared for students aspiring to join leading shipping and logistics companies. He explained how candidates can prepare effectively by understanding Incoterms, basic customs procedures, cargo flow, and current industry trends. He also encouraged students to build confidence, improve body language, and focus on role-specific knowledge to stand out during interviews.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions about global trade opportunities, logistics technologies, and the future of international supply chain careers. Mr. Arun Kumar’s practical insights helped students gain clarity about industry expectations and the skills required to succeed in the logistics sector.
